Home Renovation in Fulham
Fulham is terraced-house country: side returns, loft conversions and full renovations on streets of Victorian houses built to much the same plan — which is exactly why the details matter.

Renovating property in Fulham
Fulham is one of the most consistently Victorian parts of London: street after street of two- and three-storey terraces built in the last quarter of the nineteenth century, with the grander "Lion houses" of the Peterborough Estate and the mansion flats around Bishops Park among them. The houses share a plan — front room, back room, narrow rear addition, side return — which means the same handful of moves unlock almost all of them.
Those moves are well understood and we run them constantly: filling in the side return to give one wide kitchen and dining space, taking the roof into a loft for a principal suite, opening the ground floor with a steel frame, and replacing services in houses whose wiring and pipework are on their second century. Much of this sits within permitted development, but the conservation areas around Parsons Green, Munster Village and Bishops Park do not, and rear-extension depth is where applications most often turn.
Because the houses repeat, the difference is in the execution: floor build-ups that keep head height, rooflights placed to actually light the middle of a deep plan, and joinery that fits the alcoves you have rather than the ones a catalogue assumes. See home extensions, loft conversions and our Fulham terrace case study.
