About this project
A dated bathroom — bath under a folding screen, white tile, black mosaic border — stripped out and rebuilt as a walk-in shower room. Losing the bath is what made the rest possible: with the shower run into the corner behind a curved screen and the waste taken to a linear drain, the floor could be laid as one continuous surface instead of stepping up into a tray.
The replacement palette is the opposite of what came out. Dark green gloss tile is laid in stack bond, so the grid is vertical and deliberate rather than the default brick bond, and the marble-effect hexagon floor gives the eye the one busy surface in the room.

- Dark green stack-bond gloss tile to full height
